La Boulangère Mini Transat: two outstanding performances from our partners!

At the finish of the offshore race La Boulangère Mini Transat, pride is very much in order at Profurl. After more than fifteen days of demanding sailing between La Palma in the Canaries and Saint-François in Guadeloupe (the route of the second leg), our two young classe Mini 6.50 partners delivered excellent performances. As a reminder, the first leg of the Mini Transat had been cancelled, which somewhat reshuffled the deck for the competition.

Be that as it may, both competing in the Série ranking, Quentin Mocudet (Mini 986) secured a superb 2nd place, while Antonin Chapot (Mini 1043) crossed the line in a solid 4th position.

A committed and strategic race

This edition of the Mini Transat once again stood out for its intensity. A single-handed race, without assistance or communication systems, it requires skippers to be at one with their boat and their routing decisions.

Quentin and Antonin managed to stand out in a particularly tight crossing, where the gaps often played out within sight. Their determination, seamanship, and technical mastery command respect.

Profurl equipment put to the Atlantic test

Both boats were fitted with a Profurl NEX 0.9 furler with ratchet, a technical (and lightweight!) choice. Thanks to our athletes and the demands of their crossing, we’ve received yet another demonstration of the reliability and performance of our furling systems, designed for both offshore racers and cruisers.

We are now eager to hear the stories Quentin and Antonin will bring back, as privileged witnesses to this unique adventure. We extend our warmest congratulations to them, as well as to all competitors in this exceptional edition!
