Mini Transat 2025: A Strong Start for Quentin and Antonin!

On Sunday, September 21 at 3:30 p.m., the port of Les Sables d’Olonne resonated with emotional farewells. As the starting signal for the Mini Transat was given, 90 skippers set sail on their solo adventure across the Atlantic.

Among them are our two partners, Antonin Chapot and Quentin Mocudet, whom we’ve had the privilege of supporting closely on this journey. On the eve of the start, we spoke with both of them:

  • Antonin, clear-headed and focused, admitted to feeling a bit more apprehensive about this first leg, “probably because it’s the closest one,” he joked.

  • Quentin, 2024 French Solo Sailing Champion, was equally composed, ready to take on the crossing with confidence.

Both skippers know they can rely on their Profurl NEX0.9 ratchet furler to hoist their gennaker quickly and safely, likely more often during the first leg than the second, when they hope to fly their spinnaker and enjoy long ocean surfs.

On the big day, we were right there with them, on the water. We even had the privilege of watching Quentin set up for his gennaker hoist, powered by his Profurl furler.

The adventure is now underway. Our skippers are heading for the Canaries, with the Caribbean already on the horizon. The entire Profurl team wishes them fair winds, smooth furlings, and beautiful trajectories across the Atlantic.

Fair winds, Antonin and Quentin! We are sailing by your side!
